Ordinary Seaman supports the deck crew in maintaining the ship’s safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness. This role is fundamental to maritime tradition, combining practical seamanship with discipline and ceremonial respect for life at sea.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; Knowledge of other languages is a plus;
A demonstrated background in maritime operations; Previous experience as an Ordinary Seaman or a similar role aboard a cruise ship or cargo vessel; Hold mandatory certificates requested on this position; Proactive attitude to meet the demands of life at sea; Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment; A good understanding of ship operations, including maintenance and safety practices; A commitment to maintaining high safety and service standards; A positive mindset and willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of life at sea; Must pass a pre-employment medical exam; Team player, positive attitude, and willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of life at sea; Physical strength and stamina; Comfort with isolation and long periods at sea.
Ensure the smooth sailing and operational excellence of vessel; Help uphold the safety, maintenance, and overall efficiency of vessel; Support the day-to-day deck operations, promote a secure environment, and embody the high standards of hospitality; Keep the ship running smoothly; Maintain the ship by cleaning, painting, and handling other upkeep duties;
Help with mooring lines, anchoring, and managing gangway operations during arrivals and departures; Participate in safety drills, care for life-saving and firefighting equipment; Create a positive environment, make each journey safer and more enjoyable; For vessel ship, provide guests with a seamless and memorable journey on the seas.
