WIPER

Description

Wiper is an entry-level position in the engine department, responsible for assisting with the maintenance and cleanliness of machinery spaces. This role is fundamental to ship operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and respect for maritime tradition while supporting senior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications

Intermediate in English, oral and written, enabling effective communication for work and safety purposes;

Basic understanding of ship maintenance and operations, supported by hands-on experience or training in a marine environment;

Hold mandatory certificates requested on this position;

Previous experience, at least one year, in marine or engineering support roles;

A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards maintaining ship cleanliness;

Physical fitness to perform duties in a demanding environment, including working in confined space;

Ability to collaborate effectively with crew members of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth technical operations, cleaning and maintaining the engine room and machinery spaces;

Assist the engineering team with routine maintenance tasks, efficient, and reliable environment;

Contribute directly to the safety and comfort of all onboard.
